- As a highly skilled and accomplished individual from a black background, I have often found myself facing significant challenges in securing employment that aligns with my qualifications and expertise. Despite my impressive academic achievements, I have been met with a lack of opportunities and a sense of disillusionment in the job market.
- However, it was during my time in social care that I encountered a community of like-minded, highly qualified black graduates who shared similar experiences and struggles. This chance encounter proved to be a turning point for me, as it sparked a realization that I was not alone in my struggles and that there was a need for a platform that would provide support and opportunities for young professionals from disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds.
- Thus, the idea for Manckas was born. As a response to the systemic barriers and biases that young professionals often face, Manckas aims to provide a safe and inclusive space for individuals to connect, share knowledge, and access resources that will help them achieve their career goals.
